Boots - again sorry - which one pair is most use?

So in an ideal world I'd like black biker, black Chelsea, black tall, brown ankle, brown biker...etc etc
But of course my budget does not agree.
Have loved in years gone by the sort of mid length Fly boots, but think they've maybe had their day? Last year I got suedey Clarks greyish ankle boots and wore them into the ground. I have also loved a pair of almost knee high riding boot type things. They are all looked old and worn and I can't replace them all.
Which one style in your opinion would give most wear/flexibility? I wear jeans and also a lot of dresses both in and out of work - I like the dress and boot combo for winter.
Help!
Thank you!

I am a big fan of flat black Chelsea boots and have just bought a new pair - I wear them with opaques and dresses, plus turned up skinny jeans. There's 20% off Clarks at the mo if that helps.

Thank you! I had them in my mind as finalists...maybe these reddy browny dm ones to be more flexible colour wise?

Black knee high boots.

Doobigetta · 26/09/2016 21:19

I think if you want to wear them with both jeans and dresses/skirts, your best bet is knee-length with a block heel, not so high you can't walk easily. Whether brown or black depends how much black you wear. Brown looks better with every colour except black, but if you wear lots of black you need black.

I bought a pair of black Chelsea boots from Clarks last year. I love them. They go with jeans, trousers, even skirts/dresses and opaque tights. Well worth £50.

Judydreamsofhorses where is the 20 per cent of Clarks please?

rollonthesummer · 26/09/2016 21:29

I still love Fly boots-they are v comfortable and go with anything. I have brown Mol, tan Mes, brown Yust and tan Mol.

Fancy the Solv next! I don't really like black boots, so brown and tan are fine and go with anything I own!

Katiegg I'm lusting after a pair of lace up ankle boots too. Let me know if you find any!

I have an advert for boots popping up at the bottom of this page now!
There doesn't seem to be a general consensus...
How do we feel about grey?!

I think fly london mol or mes too. Very versatile with jeans and dresses or skirts.

I'm considering these metallic ones from Next, with the thought that metallic should go with everything. However I'm not sure if they're too clumpy to go with skirts and dresses.
