We're off to a 50s and 60s themed evening on Saturday. I've sorted a 50s style dress for me but what do I dress DH in? I haven't a clue and Google hasn't helped either aaarrgh

Buddy Holly.

A suit and some geek glasses.

I thought about geek glasses but he wears glasses anyway, maybe he could get away with a mismatched suit.

He could go the extremely unhip direction and go dressed as a 1960s dad. With a pipe for added dad-ness.

Geek glasses is more of a 70's noh?

50-60's more classic, like Breakfast at Tiffany's Wink

Rebel without a cause? Turn up blue jeans, white t shirt and a leather jacket?

John Steed - and then you can be be Emma Peel. Otherwise:
Elvis.
John Lennon (several incarnations).
George Best (though only if he's very good looking).
Dr Who - the original: William Hartnell, very distinctive looking.
James Bond.
Either of the Men from Uncle.
Albert Tatlock.

You can keep it fairly simple - we're off to one in sat too and dh is wearing suit, white shirt, slim tie, braces and hat.

He went in white shirt, braces, striped tie and dad cardigan in the end. Thanks for the tips. It was a fab night, I'm trying really hard to pretend I don't have a hangover in front of the DC :)
