Chelsea boots for skinny ankles

Evening everyone! I've been searching for a pair of either black or brown leather Chelsea boots since the AW stuff first came in... I have tried so many pairs but they all seem to be really baggy around my ankles! I'm wanting to wear them with tights / dresses or skinny jeans and don't want a massive gap around my ankles (already have last years ankle boots which gape, but are quite casual so I don't mind).

Has anyone found any which are narrow at the top? Thank you!

I have these, they fit snugly around my ankles.

judybloomno5 · 16/10/2016 00:39

I am looking for exactly the same.

FrustratedFrugal · 16/10/2016 08:48

I spent two hours in a department store yesterday trying on boots. These fit my very slim ankles snugly - instore, they were also available in black suede.

Statelychangers · 16/10/2016 08:54

If you're feeling flush these are beautifully constructed - no ankle flapping and fairly narrow.

judybloomno5 · 16/10/2016 09:43

Oooh they look lovely!

I want something I can just slip my feet into- the winter version of ballet flats.

judybloomno5 · 16/10/2016 09:44

Assume those toast ones would last forever

Statelychangers · 16/10/2016 09:52

Yes they should late forever - and Cheaneys will replace the sole - if needed. They are the kind of boots I'd wear to death for years - bit like grown up Docs. Undecided but still trying to justify keeping them. Grin

judybloomno5 · 16/10/2016 10:24

They are beautiful aren't they. I'm sitting here trying to justify them too ha ha!

FrustratedFrugal · 16/10/2016 11:16

I tried on Clarks Orinocos while DC were buying winter stuff - they are nice boots and fairly narrow but still a bit gappy. Vagabond boots leave a similar gap.

judybloomno5 · 18/10/2016 23:22

Have you tried Ted & Muffy?

ApolloniaVitelliCorleone · 18/10/2016 23:34

I had the same problem and I bought the autograph ones from m&s and they've been great.

justaweeone · 19/10/2016 07:23

I often by children's boots as skinny calfs and ankles .

judybloomno5 · 19/10/2016 17:43

My difficulty is I have size 8/9 feet and tiny, chicken leg ankles

margiebargie · 19/10/2016 21:33

Justaweeone I've been thinking about doing this too - where do you buy them?

justaweeone · 20/10/2016 11:22

Lots of places- tend to have a look at all the high street stores, Clarks, Start right, Boden , even Tesco and Sainsbury's !

justaweeone · 20/10/2016 11:24

Oh and forgot about Verbaudet and Jones the bookmakers

lili3 · 20/10/2016 11:28

Thanks everyone! I ended up with some tan leather ones from New Look which were a bargain at about £40 and fit perfectly! Also got some Ugg ones in black which are a bit more like shoe boots! Xxx
