Help me pick an outfit for tomorrow

I'm off to a wedding on Saturday, but as with all these things, it's turned into a bit of a three day affair. So I've got a long drive, followed by a bit of walking (beach maybe?) and then a casual supper in the house we're all staying in.

What shall I wear? It will be casual but I want to look nicely put together. I'm limited on shoes, so I'll be wearing snake skin (brown ish) flats with the option of brown Chelsea boots for walking if wet or whatever.

I prefer a tighter fitting bottom with a looser top rather than the other way round, but can't decide any further than that. Should I wear leggings so I'm comfy for the drive? Or jeans? With what sort of thing?

Help please. All my ideas have gone on the wedding outfit and Sunday BBQ outfit.

How about leggings with a long shirt? Obviously depends on your style and figure but I always think that looks smart. Wear a vest in the car and chuck the shirt on when you get there so it doesn't get too creased.

I was going to ask about long shirt with leggings as I'm rather a fan of that look! But thought it would get crumpled in the car. Brilliant idea to just wear vest for journey.

Mmmm I'd probably want to get changed after a long drive. I'd go leggings and long top in the car, disguising the full horror on arrival with a big scarf. Then get changed quickly!

I would too, I think, but I don't want to rely on there being time. Everyone else has arrived tonight (including DP) so I know I will be grabbed as soon as I drive in. I was thinking of freshening up in the services when I was nearer destination.

Good plan. In which case change top and buy wine! Wine

GinAndOnIt · 15/09/2016 20:54

Wine is packed already, I'll definitely be needing that Wink

You'll finally get to use those hanger handles in the back seat ;)

Slim fit jeans/skinny jeans with flats or flips flops if nice (can take off to walk on sand if in beach), with stripy Breton top with either floaty scarf or bigger blanket scarf depending on how warm it is?

GinAndOnIt · 16/09/2016 08:24

cool that is almost exactly what my Sunday outfit is, good choice 😉

pug I've never used them before and today they are going to have two outfits for DP and two outfits for me hung up! It will probably collapse under the pressure/shock of being used.
