Black tights with silver shoes- yay or nay?

Putting together an outfit for a winter wedding. I have a navy dress but I can't not wear tights because my legs are horrid.

Really wanted to get some sparkly shoes and bag probably in silver but one of my work colleagues seems to think that silver shoes and tights is a no-no.

Umm. I wear black tights with silver shoes. And also some gold ankle boots that I own. Feel suitably chastened. Hopefully, I am just kooky.

I think you could. Really depends on the style of shoe I think.

A French rule I was taught by a very glamorous woman, always match your shoe colour to your tights or wear nudes... Not saying silver tights btw

Right bought some shoes I fell in love with, silver sparklies! Now the question is can anyone recommend nude tights for someone with olive skin? Also can't be really really sheer. Worried about ugly veiny legs!
