Do I take a jacket or a coat?

Clearly a very serious and topical post!

I'm going away to France this weekend and only want to take one coat / jacket. I was going to go for a black leather biker jacket as this would do for day and evening. But should I opt for a denim jacket? Or a trench coat? Does anyone have any suggestions? I am out of the style loop and would appreciate some guidance!

I say leather jacket, mainly cos I love mine. I hate denim jackets tbh :D

I am no style guru but to make your decision easier, check the temperature of where you're going. Some parts of France are very hot at the moment.

Which area are you visiting? Where my parents are has crud weather forecast for the next few days.

Thanks, ladies. I'm going to Strasbourg. The weather looks warm this weekend, with the potential for rain, so am taking a mac too - not stylish, but at least I won't get wet! Thought a coat would be too warm.
