What's the #1 thing you lust over but can't afford?

Made the mistake of spraying myself liberally with Tom Ford 'Neroli Portofino' in a department store yesterday.

Oh. My.

What's top of your 'really really want it but can't justify the price tag' list?

Burberry trench
YSL sac de jour
Hermes scarf
Stuart Weizmann highland/lowlands

Someday, I'm young ... £1/week... Only 36 years for the YSL bag

TheLastNameLeft · 13/09/2016 19:58

A top of the range camper van

sleepachu · 13/09/2016 20:20

definitely a Burberry coat, don't think it would suit me until I'm a bit older though. maybe for my 30th. it was a Canada Goose parka til I got one for Christmas. I was mildly horrified that a man had spent so much for our firstChristmas but I have to admit I love and have worn/will wear it enough to make it worth every penny.

ooh, a Tag watch too.

Laska5772 · 13/09/2016 21:49

Oh shall I buy the skirt I am lusting after (for £229 )then? I'm v tempted.. it just seems such a lot ..

Nettletheelf · 13/09/2016 21:52

I'm having a 'suite' (necklace, bracelet and earrings) from Boodle and Dunthorne. With emeralds and diamonds. In my dreams.

Laska5772 · 13/09/2016 21:55

I want a campervan also!! the one i want is over £65000 though I am saving my pensions AVCs for it though but I shouldnt be looking at designer skirts really

Just to say to the poster who wanted the grey knitted cashmere blanket scarf , I bought one yesterday in TKmaxx.. 100% cashmere, £49.99 .. 30"wide 85" long..

KoalaDownUnder · 13/09/2016 22:00

A house. But living in this area I'm just thankful we bought a flat when we did. Sad

Bibs2014 · 13/09/2016 22:41

The Tiffany Legacy ring

Onedaftmonkey · 13/09/2016 22:44

A small 3 bed house with a small garden.
A dream that will unfortunately never come to fruition.

AmberNectarine · 14/09/2016 00:07

Shall I kill some dreams?

Louboutins are like walking on broken glass.
My Chanel broke after 8 weeks.
The Bayswater is heavy and the postman's lock sticks in under my arm.

I love my Rockstud shoes though, although my Rockstud bag has been in for repair FOUR times in under 2y.

I really wanted to buy a pair of purple satin Jimmy Choos the other day, but my mum wisely pointed out they would get wrecked in five minutes, so I couldn't justify them.

I would also like an Oscar de la Renta dress, but I really don't have that lifestyle!

Noseypoke · 14/09/2016 00:17

Wimbledon debenture. Not style and beauty as such, but plenty of scope for sartorial decisions.

CoolToned · 14/09/2016 02:22

Ooooh I want a Valentino rockstud too!!! But I have big, heavy feet. And no money. :P

Tartyflette · 14/09/2016 02:36

Not quite beauty but style to never, ever ever have to fly 'commercial' again. What bliss it would be to head off to the general aviation area of the airport/airfield and the plane's waiting for you, and takes off when you get there, because it's just you that's hired it. Don't want to own a private jet, -that would be silly-- , but I believe you can buy XXX no.of flying hours starting at lowish six figures a year.

Liiinoo · 14/09/2016 04:16

Diamond tennis bracelet. Theoretically I could afford it but I am nervous about it falling off and never being seen again. I don't have a good track record with bracelets.... or diamonds.

tighterthanscrooge · 14/09/2016 04:49

A Balenciaga bag although DM has one and let's me borrow it for meetings or interviews Grin
To get my boobs done, not bigger just lifted do they don't sag!
To be able to give my DDs the upbringing I had-although DM and stepdad (DSD?) are very generous and always help us out

mysteryfairy · 14/09/2016 06:39

I really like the woolrich parka that Anna friel wore in Marcella. Terrible programme but she wore some lovely clothes. It's £550ish so I suppose not completely out of reach, but my deliberations are stopped by the fact it has a real fur trim. Shame as it is a lovely coat, looks really warm and has the elusive narrow waisted shape.

80sWaistcoat · 14/09/2016 06:54

To take a year off and travel. Before I'm too old...

oatsandhoney · 14/09/2016 09:48

I'd love to be able to afford a dermatologist so I can sort out the terrible blackheads/enlarged pores I have on my nose. I hate looking at them Sad

I also have a thing for Clogau jewellery. Would love some of their necklaces/earrings.

MrsSeanBean · 14/09/2016 10:00

Ive fancied one of those huge leopard print Louis Vuitton scarves for ages. All I've achieved is watching the price slowly climb. Have not got one as:

(A) over £500 for a scarf... Hmm
(B) they snag terribly .... By all accounts
(C) I worry that they (and anything LV) has a whiff of vulgarity about it.

Still want it though!

Middleoftheroad · 14/09/2016 10:02

Really want the Dyson hairdryer. Dropping big hints for Xmas....

PaxAmDays · 14/09/2016 10:04

A Canada Goose coat. They are lovely and I could afford it if I saved up but I don't think I could justify over £600 on a coatHmm
