Tights

Hi

Can anyone please recommend a decent brand of tights please. I'm after black and possibly coloured opaque style.

Always used to buy from M&S, are they still decent? Don't mind paying a bit for good quality.

Thanks

Tabio. They last for years but admittedly £££. Worth it though

I really like boots own brand ones. They're really comfortable.

Wolford's opaques are invincible. Not cheap but I have a couple of new pairs every winter and they see me through school days, dog walks, restaurants with ridiculous children, dates, all sorts.

Yep, the Wolford Velvet Deluxe 66 are brilliant. You might be able to get them on ebay for less.

I would recommend Charnos Run Resist Tights. They don't ladder or nick, which shows up so easily on dark tights. For black tights, I will only ever wear this brand/make. They costs a little more, around £5, but last a long time if you are reasonably careful and looks immaculate.

Just read your OP again. You are looking for opaque tights. My Charnos recommendation was for sheet tights, so disregard.

Thanks for the replies and recommendations. Hadn't heard of a couple of those, what about Falke - are they still worth paying for?

Thanks

I wear boots too

Floisme · 13/09/2016 06:50

Mostly m&s Autograph but I have one pair of Wolford and agree they're worth the £££ if you can afford it. I'll buy another pair this autumn. Not so much Falke though - they get lots of recs on here so I may have just been unlucky but won't be buying again.

wowfudge · 13/09/2016 07:21

TK Maxx often have Wolford stuff in - often patterned rather than opaque, but you never know. They had lots of coloured Falke opaques at the weekend.

LuckySantangelo1 · 13/09/2016 07:33

I am a loyal wolford customer. Total false economy to buy cheap tights. I had a dalliance with Falke opaques last winter; awful. I felt ripped off. They looked cheap. Back to wolford for me.

Rshard · 13/09/2016 07:46

Thanks again. Wolford seem highly commended. Think they sell them in John Lewis so I'll check them out

Sainsbury's tights stay up try them far better than Tesco

MichelleR79 · 29/08/2021 09:07

I agree, I got some 80 den black falke tights last year..... probably better than marks etc but not Wolford. Wolford are definitely worth the extra money, Falke not so much.
