First ever manicure tomorrow, which nail shape do I want.

So I'm having my first manicure tomorrow and I have just been informed by my friend that I have to decide what nail shape I want. Help, what looks nice please.

I'm a square fan. Don't like the pointy talons! They scare me

It's more ovaled square though

Squoval. It's the most natural shape.

I like rounded nails. When the person doing it asks what you want, maybe ask him/her what they think would suit your hands? That's what I do in the hairdresser's when she asks a question i have no idea about!

I like oval.

Ooh yes the pointy ones, they scare me too. They are also really long.

I have mine cut right to the top of my fingertips, as I can't cope with long nails, and cut them back down between manicures if they grow too long, so don't be intimidated into thinking they have to be long.

I like square.

I like to see long nails on other people but I don't think they would suit me.

I alway ask for 'in between'.

Is squoval square with slightly round edges? So much choice!

I'm not Charlotte Church (thankfully!) - but thanks for the kind comments regarding there nails. Slightly outside of my comfort zone re shape but lived them!
