Lovely fresh everyday perfume?

On the back of the 'how to look expensive' and princessing threads I'm trying to be a bit more groomed. I only really wear perfume to go 'out out' (maybe once a month?!) but id like one for every day.

I tend to go for musky, quite masculine scents, but fancy something fresher. Any suggestions? Please?

Great choice Pupsie. All of the O de Lancome range is excellent. I like O d'Azur as well.

I tried Balenciaga Rosabotanica the otehrd ay and it;s wonderful. Fresh, light and floral with a clean musk undertow!

Zara do a great range of low cost scents in beautiful bottles

Anyone tried the new chanel no 5 yet?

Pupsiecola · 16/09/2016 22:47

I used to love New West by Aramis back in the day. A woman in John Lewis told me it's still made but by Tommy Hilfiger as they own Aramis. I must look into this!

I have to try the new Chanel No 5 L'Eau Chanel!

For every day I have recently discovered Eau Sensuelle from Rochas. It is fresh, citrusy (red orange and bergamot), floral and musky - and still light. Comes in a beautiful heavy, oldfashioned cut glass bottle. Bargain at ca. 20€ for 50ml.

I love jo malone grapefruit - lovely and fresh whilst being slightly sweet but not overwhelming, it drys down slightly musky on me as well. It's my day to day perfume.

If getting to places is difficult try eBay for decanta of different perfumes, you try lots for a couple of pounds a decant - saves making an expensive mistake

Bottega Veneta. Not the one called Knot or the newer BV light version in the pink bottle, just the regular original Bottega Veneta.

It is just fabulous. Light and easy to wear, perfect for daytime but also very grown up, elegant, not too floral or too sweet or girly. I absolutely love it.

Hmmm. I'm unconvinced by the M&S one so far. Love the smell but it's faded fast.

The new Chanel No5 is gorgeous.

You can also layer it with the classic so use the new one all day then just spritz classic over top at night.

It's on my Xmas list Smile

I second lots already mentioned - Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay or Grapefruit, Jo Loves Pomello and White rose and lemon leaves (I also had a sample box and love them all so much I cannot choose my full size one!), L'occitane Verbena range (I have the verbena and mint).

My slightly off the beaten track favourite is Hermes Un jardin sur le nil - green and divine smelling!

I also like l'occitane's pamplemouse et rhubarbe, which is a newer one of theirs.
