Nice comfortable smart shoes to walk to work in?!

Have a mile walk to station so heels are out. Hate trainers with dresses/skirts. What does anyone else where until they get into the office if in a similar situation?

I don't wear heels much, tend to stick to flats as I'm nearly 6ft and don't really want to be 6ft+ in heels at work. I tend to wear colourful ballet pumps in the spring and summer, and Clarks brogues in the autumn/winter.

I have a pair of Gabor lowish heels which are super comfortable and I like, but def not what most would regard as fashionable!

Hush puppies! I got a pair yesterday from Schuh for £58. Buttery leather. Probably not for the winter though.

Would black trainers be ok? Next and M&S have loads of "commuting" trainers.

I like Gabor shoes as they have some sole ( many shoes seem to have no sole or support)

Or in the winter I wear trousers and ankle boots

I've got Legeros - specifically the Milano which now seems to have gone darker grey than the ones I have: www.legero.at/en/kollektion/kollektion-damen/cat-milano/shoe-70058083

They're expensive, but oh, so worth it. Look small on the foot (I'm a size 7 and sometimes they can look so big), are light weight and very comfortable.
