Dying over "Glossing" hair colour?

i had a glossing semi permanent colour on my hair about 4 or 5 weeks ago, which is growing out and also too red in colour. is it safe to dye over the top with a brown semi permanent or permanent? i just want a nice shiny mid/dark brown without any red tones - so any recommendations would be great!

I don't know about colouring over a 'glossing' semi - is it much like a regular semi? but can recommend Shwarzkopf Poly Colour Tint - (it's permanent) in either Natural Brown or Medium Brown for a neutral brown tone, no redness to it. And only £2 a box in Sainsburys & Wilkcos. I say it's a permanent dye, but, like most permanent dyes, in my experience do fade after time.

Yes I think it is just s normal semi permanent, all be it with a shiny finish! Great will see if I can find that one today!
