What to wear to 50th party/disco

Hi

My boss is turning 50 shortly and is having a big party in a local pub/club and I have been invited along with my work colleagues (all of whom are male). My boss is quite trendy and dresses well.

I have absolutely no idea what to wear. Jeans & top, dress? Would a dress be over the top? Any ideas gratefully received. I plan to dance the night away being a woman of 43 who doesn't get out much! I'm size 10, btw, quite tall.... I'm willing to buy something new as long as it's not too £££.

I'd wear trousers/black jeans/jumpsuit. If it's in a pub/club a dress would be lovely too, but it'd depend on the dress. Blue jeans probs not dressy enough.

Or a leather skirt and blouse.

Thanks. Leather skirt not really my thing, but have black jeans. What about a suitable top? Any ideas?
