Which tights with navy dress?

Going to a wedding tomorrow , dress is navy and lacy. Realised I only have black tights and all my suitable shoes are black... I need to get other tights don't I? (I am a black tights at all times person ordinarily!)

Are the black shoes ok (they are really nice ones!) ? I really can't afford much in the way of other shoes for a one off and I struggle because of wide feet.

Thanks in advance!

Nude tights would be good, especially in this weather. Nice, dressy black shoes would be fine IMO.

Definitely nude tights. Or bare legs, it's bloody hot! Have you got any sandals? It's supposed to be pushing 30c tomorrow (unless you're in the Highlands or something, in which case ignore me).

Thanks both- nude tights it is! Don't think i could do bare legs. No sandals but my shoes are quite breathable.

Nude tight or Sally Hansen wash off stuff.
Do you have navy shoes?
Cheap Primark ones even?

I second the Sally Hansen recommendation!
Slightly high jacking things, I've been wondering about the exact same question for when it gets cold. I've got a navy dress for work (a smart one, it's a formal workplace). It's been fine in the summer with Sally Hansened legs and nude high sandals, but I don't know what to wear with it when the weather changes. I don't like fine, nude tights and usually wear black opaques and high shoe boots (black) fir work, but I'm worried that might look odd. Any thoughts? (Sorry, that went on for much longer than I thought it would!).

I wear navy opaques and navy ankle boots or high shoes. But I like fairly matchy matchy stuff and I hate the Lindy Bop / Viviene of Holloway look people seem to love on MN ( to give you an idea of my style 'type')
