Any recommendations for trainer socks that stay on!

I need ones for trainers and ballet pump style shoes.
Primark ones seem OK for shoes but seem to come off when wearing trainers. These were plain black ones, I haven't tried their sporty ones.
Gap ones were rubbish even for shoes except their woven style ones which do seem to stay on but not very comfy due to their bumpy material.

Just fed up of constantly re-putting them over my heel! Any good recommendations?

The sports ones from Primark are fantastic, like a mesh material that stretches all over. They definitely won't come off, I have several pairs in all different colours and wear them with trainers and converse. I don't think they'd suit ballet pumps though, it would depend on how far up your foot the shoe comes if that makes sense? But certainly for trainers and converse type shoes they are perfect.

Trainer socks confuse me - do they not mean that your shoes really rub the back of your heel when you run? And they don't provide much cushioning either. Surely ordinary running socks are better?

And why would you want to wear trainer socks with ballet pumps? Is this a whole area of sock-related S&B that has passed me by?

I have the primark seamless footies when im wearing ballet pumps. They don't show over the shoe and I've never had a problem with them slipping off.

I've come to the conclusion it's something to do with my foot shape or gait. No matter what brand I try (and I've tried loads!), they never move on my left foot, and slide off on my right. Even the ones other people swear are immovable. I've even swopped them over to opposite feet during the day, and within 20 minutes my right one is bunched under my foot.

The Pringle ones in TK Maxx with the silicon strips at both the toe and heel ends. Brilliant. Come in packs of three, last seen reduced to £4. Bot more expensive from amazon etc. I used to get the ones with the lace toes but they develop holes at the join too quickly to recommend now - get the solid ones.

Seconding the Primark sport ones. Every other kind I've tried have slipped under my foot (apart from some M&S ones that they promptly discontinued). I can't see them working with ballet pumps as they come up quite high but they're perfect with trainers and don't budge, I wear them for both everyday and the gym. They come in black, white, and a selection of brights, last time I checked. Top tip from my sister, to give her credit....

For trainers the More Miles socks are great, DH and I both run in them and they stay put.

I like the Nike ones for trainers, even for running. And seconding the Pringle rec for the other type.

Thanks for the tips!
I don't use trainer socks for running, but just need them for wearing trainers casually and for slip on shoes that I don't want to smell cheesy by wearing them with bare feet!

Will try the Primark sporty ones I think and will check out tk maxx too.
