Have worn M&S Jeggings for ages, but now want some proper jeans.

Size 12-14
Pear shape
5'7

Nothing too low-waisted! Straight cut or skinny is fine, but open to ideas.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Try the Straight leg at Per Una (M&S).
I have several pairs of Per Una jeans in different styles. They suit my larger hips and narrow waist. I can't get jeans to fit from anywhere else.

I like these - not too much stretch so they don't go baggy

Have you tried Sainsburys Tu jeans? I have found all their styles of jeans fit well, but I particularly like their skinnies - they fit really well, don't go baggy and have a high-ish waist. I have them in about six different colours!

Seconding next jeans, good prices and a surprisingly wide range. I'm a shortie with a big bum & thighs and managed to find a pair in there yesterday I didn't hate on myself - quite an achievement!

I like the superskinny high waist from New look or most river island jeans. not a fan of next.

I recently got two pairs of high waisted slim fit jeans from Tesco (I can only see the black ones on the website; they have a double button at the waist) for £16 each and I love them. Very flattering, love the high waist and the price!

They are true to size, and are definitely a slim, not skinny, fit. The black ones look skinnier on the mannequin than mine. I've got hefty thighs and don't suit skinny jeans at all, but these just look nice and narrow. I got a dark denim, and a lighter one (sort of mid blue). I'd reaaly recommend them!

I'll tr to take a photo when I've go the DC to bed.

I like the look of a couple of the Per Una styles:

sateen

lift and sculpt

I don't mind paying a bit more - any branded recommendations? I don't know where to start with all the brands!

Excuse typos!

I have no idea re brands Maybe, I'm on more of a Florence&Fred budget Grin.

iwantavuvezela · 06/09/2016 20:26

MIH is my favourite current brand. Really costly, but I practically live in jeans and buy a new pair once a year. They last well, and I love the cut and fit on me. They do a mid rise and a high rise as well.

Jasper Conran shape enhancing jeans are fab. The only ones I've ever found that actually fit over my huge thighs and ares, but then also fit properly around the waist.
