Urgent ...another wedding guest dilemma

Please help. I've planned to wear this dress to a wedding on Saturday (it looks a lot more prom dress on me...I assume this is due to my large hips?!).

I'm worried that I need a shrug or bolero but haven't got time to shop other than online.

Please help!!!

Dress is lovely. I wore a similar Chi Chi London one to a wedding last year and had a pashmina around my shoulders, would that work?

Lovely dress. Pashmina or a simple white cardi would be fine

Pinkvici22 · 06/09/2016 08:24

Thanks for the fast replies! I like a pashmina but never seem to look right on me. I'll also have my 4 year old DD with me so don't want to be fussing with keeping it in place?!

What do you think of this...too fussy??

Maybe a little pale for the pink of the dress?

Are you anywhere near a fabric shop or warehouse? Take the frock ( its lovely btw) and pick a piece of fabric, long enough to reach from fingertip to fingertip, and wide enough (when folded over) to reach from the base of your neck to the top of your dress.

Fold the fabric, and put a row of stitches at each end so you have a 'tube' at each end. Slip your hands from the centre through the tubes, let the fabric rest round your shoulders. Enjoy.
