Sorry but I'm desperate

I've had a bit of a lousy time of it lately (see other thread)

A very good friend has booked a long weekend away to ibiza for us. I've not been away for a while (ok years) not been clubing for a long time (ok a decade or more) am not a teenybopper (ok I'm middle aged) am not a super model (I'm ok ish in the dark) or and I'm not tanned (soon so pale I'd pass for a corpse)

Help. What do I need to pack, what are the essientials???

Panicking a bit

2protect- they all look fab. Space won't be like going to a club in UK - you'll be surrounded by people just dancing. If you went somewhere like Pacha then you'd wear something completely different. You can also dress up and be more glamorous for a sunset at Sunset strip in San Antonio (Cafe Mambo etc) or for a night in the capital ( Evissa).

But the main thing to remember is that no-one really cares.

I went in May. Took maxi dresses and loose clothing. Really anything goes out there! It was a bit chilly at night so took a shawl for that. There's also nice shops you can get stuff in ( and maybe some sales as it's coming towards the end of the season )

Here's what I've got so far.

Made appointment for gel nails, eye lashes, eyebrows, spray tan and hair.

1 x demin shorts (picture above)
3 x tops (2 above and this one)
2 x vest tops (got loads)
2 x bikinis
1 x beach cover up (order the river island one)
1 x kimono (order the white next one karma linked to)
1 x pair of trainer ish thing very comfy
1 x sunglasses
1 x hat

Here's what I need your help with massively - PLEASE!

1 × skirt (think I fancy and maxi one)
Or
1 x maxi dress (normally hate them because I think I look like a massive coloum but prepared to try again!)

1 x outfit for the dressier places (no idea where to even start!)

1 x sandals
1 × wedges
(I normally live in sky high heels so this is virgin territory for me!)

Statement jewlery that I don't mind getting wet / ruined / lost - going to leave my good stuff at home

1 x beach bag (never owned one don't know where to start)

1 x night bag (mine are all ridicoulous formal wedding / black tie affairs again dont kniw where to start)

Anything else I may have missed / need / must have / don't need etc.

What resort are you staying in?
It will make a difference to what you take. I've never taken a maxi dress to Ibiza but might if was staying further north.

I love the blue and white Kaftan. Will you need many beach cover ups or are you happy to lie in your bikini/cossie?

Are you taking a bag out 'clubbing' that can go across your body? Also, could do with having a zip. A lot of girls in Space have items stolen from their bags.

Whoops. Just seen about your night bag. I took loads (30kg luggage...) but used the same two bags. A small black shoulder bag most nights and a brown one when I was wearing white.

I'm happy to lay in my bikini but for wondering around id rather cover up a bit. I don't mean beach to sea or chair to look but chair to room or shops etc.

I do prefer to cover my arms when possible I have some terrible scaring. Ciggerette burns and similar and i just hate the looks I get.

I actually thought the blue and white thing was a dress and was thinking of wearing at one have I totally lost the plot?

Yes if want / need a bag to take out. Yes it would need to be cross body and zipped and no I haven't got one! I'm pretty savy though and have yet to be pickpocketed.

My very rough thought was to wear the black cover up too and from the beach / pool.

The white kimono for wondering about over shorts and a vest / tops

The blue and white thing as a dress for the dressier areas or have I totally missed the mark?????

Destinto resort is lovely - very cool! They have big events on there, so may find yourself staying there for a night 'in'. The beach next to there, Talamanca, is a nice long stretch of sand with lots of families and couples on - not really groups of friends - so you won't feel the pressure to look nice or stylish on the beach. I remember staying at Talamanca (3 years ago) and being a scruffy hot mess walking up off the beach at the end of the day

Have you looked at videos of club/event nights at Destino to get an idea of what people wear at night in your hotel?

Even in this very short video, you can see that there are a range of different styles. Shorts and tees - one woman towards the end seems to be out in just her swim suit!
