Wedding dress help! Urgent ... size 16 (pics incl.)

I am going to a wedding in September and need help/tips/suggestions for the dress! It is an important occasion (people to impress) and I am fairly clued out on what colours to avoid (black?). I need a size 16 dress, preferably fit and flare style, with some sleeves. Would any of the below two be ok ... It looked good when I tried it. OR can anyone suggest a tried and tested dress? Please do help ...

I agree that the stripes one is really going to stand out (not in a good way) in photos.

Plus to me there seems to be something a bit wrong in combining the only two colours that you're not supposed to wear to a wedding.

I love the stripes, but not for an Italian wedding, sorry. I don't like the lace one either - unless it's really expensive, I think lace can look cheap. Plus in Italy you might find you are dressed like the bride's granny...

What's your budget OP? (And did you have a name change fail...?)
