Foundation for fair skin

I've been using lililolo mineral foundation for years and love it but my skin has got really bad recently (I've come off the meds I was on for acne as ttc and not safe) so need something with a lot better coverage. Everything I've tried is too dark/orange! Help!

Estee lauder double wear does a wide range of colours?

I like Revlon colour stay, max factor miracle illusion,No7.

Mac is the best I've found. My skin is very pale and it looks very natural.

I don't know how bad your acne is, but it might be worth looking into a good light/medium coverage foundation and a good concealer (you can use a high coverage foundation instead of the concealer if you'd rather - I have done that and it worked fine) so you can spot conceal rather than cover all of your skin (including the bits that are not affected by acne) in high coverage foundation?

IMO it looks more natural than a full coverage foundation all over, and I find that full coverage foundations can make people look much older than they are. It also tends to require a lot of extra makeup to make it look natural and not flat. I always find that it looks cakey really quickly and not just on me. I'm personally not a fan of the full coverage all over.

It's worth getting samples before buying as some foundations might not work with your skin type, they might also oxidise on the skin which means they get darker/more orange and some might just have the right colour for you.

I'd suggest:
Clinique (I love this one: www.clinique.co.uk/product/11480/35075/Makeup/Foundations/Multitaskers/Anti-Blemish-BB-Cream-SPF40 - the coverage is light/medium, but it looks really nice on the skin and lasts very well during the day, but they do have more foundations so you might be able to find something good - the new one with the massive doe foot applicator has been getting really good reviews as far as I remember, and they are usually good with samples as well)
Estee Lauder (I like Double Wear Light, but I've found them to be good at giving out samples)
Laura Mercier (they have a lot of different colours and tones in their different foundations so you might be able to find something that suits you there - they are also good at giving out samples IME).
Mac is also good (but they don't give out samples).
Guerlain's newest foundation called Lingerie de Peau is also very nice - they seem to have changed the colours, so there are loads, and they seem to have some that are very light, and they are also good with samples.
Dermablend is also good - I think it's Vichy that makes this - I used the foundation as a concealer.

If you are prone to acne I'd steer clear of Doublewear as it tends to make it worse, tempting as it is to cover it over.

In between the spots you probably have gorgeous skin and spot covering with Dermablend and have a light coverage with a tinted moisturiser - or your Lilylolo will show off your lovely skin.

Lisa Eldridge's acne video is a masterclass in how to do this and how lovely someone's acne prone skin really looks in between the spots.

I'm v pale and acne prone and use Laura Mercier oil-free tinted moisturiser with Vichy Dermablend concealer - it's not quite pale enough but doesn't show in such a small amount just over the spots.

Have you tried the Lililolo green powder that goes under foundation? I use it and it's FAB!

Thanks ladies. I might give double wear and Mac a try and get one for nights out (I do LOVE mac lipstick) but like carpaccio and Wolper have said try just using a concealer instead for spot coverage day to day. I don't really like the feel of thick foundation which is why I love mineral so much. I never thought I'd still be this spotty at 27! Was really hoping the spots would stay away but 4 months off meds now and these last few weeks they've come back full force :(. frustrated I'm using blondie at the moment as been away and had a slight tan (lol!) But usually use China doll. justilou no I haven't, I'll order some next time to try too! I just didn't think a powder would be good enough coverage?!
