Cheap maternity clothes from eBay or elsewhere?

I need a few bits I can wear for my last few months to work but definitely do not want to spend a lot of money. I see some Chinese sellers on eBay offering those Jersey wrap or mock-wrap dresses for about a tenner. I am tempted to order one or two - I would guess that even if the fabric isn't great, with a decent under slip and a blazer, they would hopefully do for a few months. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for eBay sellers? Or any other suggestions for bargainous online maternity wear?

I have tried scanning the secondhand sellers on eBay but don't ever see anything I like, and would prefer new.

I found Purpless maternity cheap and ok. Definitely needs a slip though....

There's usually plenty of better known maternity stuff going pre loved on eBay. If you're going for the Chinese stuff, check the delivery times. You might not get that much wear by the time it's arrived.

Asos can be quite good for basics - tshirts etc and always have quite a lot of maternity stuff in the outlet section. Free delivery & returns too which is great as I always found I had no idea what size maternity clothes would actually fit!

I second purpless maternity. I got some nice bits from there.reasonably priced too. I also had some nice things from George asda.

Keep an eye on EBay too....

If there is a Next Outlet anywhere nearby they can be AMAZING for maternity wear. I bought a wrap over dress in there yesterday for £6, amazing quality. Of course you run the risk of there being nothing in your size, but it's definitely worth a look

Oh wow, thanks for the Purpless recommendation, looks lovely and I'd never heard of them. Can someone who had used them tell me if the dresses tend to be on the short side? I am 5'9" and on some of the models, the dresses look way shorter than I'd normally wear.

Thanks also for the other suggestions, and for the shipping time warning - you are right sometimes Chibese eBay has a delivery time of months!

I found New Look to be ok. And I agree with ASOS.

Another warning about Chinese sellers on eBay - the clothes are usually tiny.

Try your local mums selling group on Facebook - search for mums selling in postcode etc

I've got quite a few bits from local mums really cheap and at least locally you can try them on when you pop over to collect. I got a seraphine dress for £12 this evening!
