Wide fit shoes

Where can I get some nice, comfortable but not old lady shoes for work? Preferably flat, tan or black. I usually buy from New Look or Matalan but nothing taking my fancy and my last pair of Matalan rubbed awfully. I'm a teacher so they need to last!
Open to styles, just asking for shop recommendations. I'd prefer to go and try on. Is Clarks worth a look?
Thanks.

I find Aldo have quite a lot of wide fit shoes and aren't old ladyish.

Clarks are ok, but I was in there last week and this season's all seemed a bit old-fashioned.

Primark do wide fit shoes. It's a bit of a lottery though, I've had done that have fallen apart really quickly and some that are still great after 3/4 years.

Next do some nice wide fit shoes and tend to last well

Also m&s but can be a bit and miss with granny styles

I get my wide fit shoes in Primark (as Secret says they are hit and miss) or Evans.
