are you mid-heeling this autumn winter?

I have bought a velvet pair from topshop with straps. Wearing them today they are so bloody comfortable and sturdy because of the chunky heel.

Few years ago would have thought yuk!

Anyone else mid-heeling?

As in thicker more square heel? I always feel a bit 'dumpy' in what I'm imagining you mean. Wear with trousers or skirt?

I've been toying with the idea of mid heels with a thin or cone type heel but I can't get on board with the thick square heels. They seem awkward to me.

think I always though so too. I tried some flare heels on and just thought they were too ugly!

I never normally wear heels but I quite like the look of those chunky, square ones. Apart from their obvious practical advantages, they look more modern.

floisme yes that's what I thought. I feel the shoes update my other outfits, and - so far - I haven't found anything they don't go with! Win! :)

What are the practical disadvantages? Block heels are a lot more comfortable.

I can see practical disadvantages in having velvet shoes though. Love the idea but ahem would not suit my lifestyle.
