Tempted to get these boots. Will be casual wear so need to be able to walk comfortably in them when needed. Any thoughts pls? Are they worth it?

I think JL can be relied upon for quality but personally I'm not getting the wedge heel.

tigerdriverII · 01/09/2016 23:32

Hideous, sorry

joangray38 · 01/09/2016 23:32

The wedge seems out of proportion to the boot, bit lower and it would be great

JedRambosteen · 01/09/2016 23:33

I like them, but I'm not a style and beauty regular so I won't be offended if 20 people pile in after me and say they are 'Mum boots'.

PickAChew · 01/09/2016 23:34

Walking comfortably in that heel and pointed toe don't really go hand in hand.

Crankycunt · 01/09/2016 23:34

You'll need a pair of blue jeans to go with them.

They're mum boots.

candykane25 · 01/09/2016 23:39

I remember years ago someone I knew had bought a beige pair and kept thinking they reminded her of something but couldn't put her finger on it what it was.
Finally it came to her.
A shop mannekin's feet.
Never fancied a pair of wedge boots after that.

EnidButton · 01/09/2016 23:41

I'm not keen sorry. Leather looks nice but the heel and sole don't look right. Either get flat ones which look good and are ok for walking lots in or boots with the same height as those but with a proper heel. I don't think the wedge will add anything to the feel and it makes them look frumpy.

Only imo of course. Everyone likes different things. If you love them, then get them but if you're not sure then look for something else.

WanderingTrolley1 · 01/09/2016 23:42

I don't like them and cannot envisage a way in which they'd look good.

BitOutOfPractice · 01/09/2016 23:53

I've never been a fan of the wedge boot, sorry

Jbck · 02/09/2016 00:05

Really ugly sorry.

NisekoWhistler · 02/09/2016 00:15

So ugly, not even mum boots, I don't know who would wear those. Yuk!

I don't like them.

Ha ha. I am a mum and I do have blue jeans!!!!! (Dark blue skinnies and dark blue slim leg from Next - are they really that bad??!!) OK ladies, give me some alternative, something that I can go shopping in, go for coffees in, run around picking kids up and dropping them off etc.need to look good enough for an odd pub visit too. Oh and not completely flat, I like a little heel. Help me out.

Funnily enough, one of my friends swears by Fly boots but I'm just not feeling the love. May have to go back to drawing board with a more traditional heel. I did see some mint velvet ones I quite liked. Will see if I can find link.....

I like them but when it comes to footwear, I think I have adapted my taste to my needs. I can't wear dainty feminine shoes because I have wide feet. I walk absolutely everywhere so comfort is a must. I am short so need the height to complete an outfit and look good. All these combined usually mean 'wedges'. I like ugly shoes so don't take my advice.
