Best "cheap" cashmere?

I'm looking for a slouchy grey cashmere jumper and have seen (well online anyway) some in Uniqlo and H&M.

Would love some feedback about how they wear (bobbling) and wash... Ideally I'd like to get a couple of winters out of the jumper so no point in buying if it's going to look like a shapeless rag after a month

I have 2 from Uniglo since last winter. They wash well for me in the machine on a cool wool wash, low spin speed. Still look like new and I never get bored of them. Will buy morr colours this wnter. Mine were discounted too, so real bargain.
Haven't tried H&M so can't comment. Didn't realise they had cashmere.

Uniqlo, and M&S when they have offers on

PhoenixJasmine · 01/09/2016 21:24

I love my Uniqlo ones too, have 3, oldest is 2yrs old and looks fine. I was on delicate cycle and dry flat on top of airer.

Uniqlo are great. Buy them for me and DH every year, never any problems.

carrie74 · 01/09/2016 21:52

I've found that it changes every year. I had a Gap jumper that was so good I bought another the following year. Not as good (but not bad).

I think the best for me has been JL. Uniqlo was ok, not brilliant (but cheaper).

LanaorAna1 · 01/09/2016 21:59

Uniqlo miles better than HM, and M&S I say too.

Liiinoo · 01/09/2016 22:17

I find M&S tends to shrink so I buy a size up.

maggiethemagpie · 01/09/2016 22:40

I've bought a few cashmere cardis off ebay that are M and S brand new with tags, seem to go for about £30-£40. Or lightly worn for a little less. I have about five in different colours now, live in them in winter. I have found the sizing small, so size up, but they are comfy and good quality and last.

Ok so uniqlo seems to be the one to try. Any advice on sizing?

I'm normally a size 10/12 and have a few bits in M from Uniqlo. I'd like the jumper to have a bit of slouch but would L be too big?

I'm in Ireland so trying on in store is not an option

Thanks for the tips - I'd love a nice cashmere jumper for winter (wanted white but actually grey looks good) and the Uniqlo ones are brilliant prices.

I've got cashmere from uniqlo and john lewis. Both were a similar price and wear well. When I was a size 14, I bought size M in uniqlo knitwear, to get a neat fit and they still fit ok now I'm size 12. I wouldn't go bigger than that if you are normally 10-12.
