Baby oil in DD's hair

We have finally evicted the very persistent headline from DD - hooray! Our hairdresser recommended putting baby oil in it to comb out the very last egg casings, that seems to have done the job, but how the hell do we wash the oil out? She has had 4 very thorough washes since last night, it still looks lank and oily.

Rub shampoo into her hair whilst it's still dry to break down the oil then wash as normal.

Oil dissolves oil, so lots of conditioner all over to the roots, and lots of friction like you're shampooing, rinse well, then if you think it'll still look lank do another shampoo?
