Seems like everywhere I go lately I see girls with a uniform of jeans, tee and shirt over the top.
Not exactly groundbreaking but I love the look of it ..something you would wear?
I'm 30 ..am I too old?

If you're 30 you're almost old enough to remember grunge the first time around!

Thefitfatty · 30/08/2016 13:08

I preferred it the first time around. :P :P :P But at least I can dig out all my old plaids!

Lj8893 · 30/08/2016 13:08

I wear that look a lot and I'm almost 30 so go for it!

Decanter · 30/08/2016 13:09

I wear it and I'm 40 Grin

OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 30/08/2016 13:10

I think it's okay but I'm far too scruffy to wear it myself. I'd look like an actual farmer.

Gatekeeper · 30/08/2016 13:11

hell's bells . I've been wearing variations of that since 1984

GobblersKnob · 30/08/2016 13:15

I've variations of that consistently for the last 20 odd years, it's hardly a 'thing', just a collection of clothes? I am older than you Wink

squoosh · 30/08/2016 13:17

You're far too old.

wowfudge · 30/08/2016 13:17

Back in the early 90s it was a body or a t-shirt under a shirt. Here's hoping heavily stone washed denim doesn't come back in.

SwedishEdith · 30/08/2016 13:19

Aren't they just clothes? I don't see that as "a look".

GingerbreadGingerbread · 30/08/2016 13:19

It's hardly an age restrictive outfit - a 60 year old could wear it and look fine so I don't know why you worry about being 30 wearing that.

It looks fine in the picture by not something I'd comment on very blah. Just something I'd throw on out of ease on any day of the week, wouldn't necessarily refer to that as "a look".

princessdave · 30/08/2016 13:20

Ah yes Wowfudge I had many a body from Tammy Girl worn with high waisted stone washed jeans with a shirt over the top. Not just stonewashed jeans but coloured ones too, I was loved pairing a floral body with green jeans and a shirt over the top. I turned 34 yesterday Blush

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/08/2016 13:22

I do it with a denim shirt over black jeggings, but plaid shirts make me look like a cross between a lumberjack and an emo. A shame, because I do like them.

Thefitfatty · 30/08/2016 13:22

Back in the early 90s it was a body or a t-shirt under a shirt.

In my town it was some hugely oversized corduroys or Khakis with a white crop top and a plaid shirt. Dock Martins were also a must, as was bleached blonde hair. :D

Cellardoor23 · 30/08/2016 18:18

I like that look and I'm almost 30. Personally I would just wear a buttoned oversized shirt rather than the top underneath. Maybe a light blue or striped shirt. I did wear this style a lot when I was pregnant. Mainly with vest tops underneath and jeggings.

Floisme · 30/08/2016 18:22

I won't pretend it's my best look but how on earth is it inappropriate at any age?
My mum wore a variation on it when she was in her 90s.

suchafuss · 30/08/2016 21:36

Yep I wear it and I'm 50 next year.

Wigeon · 30/08/2016 21:38

I wore that as a teen in the 1990s...Stopped looking like that in about 1996!
