Best strapless bra for large breasts?

Swordofthespirit · 29/08/2016 08:33

There was a thread a while ago about this but I can't seem to find it, so if anyone can I'd be grateful. It had a vote of about 2 strapless bras in particular for big busted and good support. Any ways, in the absence of that, I'm a 32F and can't find anything that will hold up. They all droop after a while. It's really frustrating now there are so many thin strapped halter necked tops and dresses I Can't buy.

Have you tried the Wonder Bra? The one with the 'hands' in? I used to work in the lingere dept at a very well known department store and those were very popular. Just bought one myself (I'm a 38c) but only tried it on ready for an event next month so not actually worn it yet,

FeedMeAndTellMeImPretty · 29/08/2016 08:53

Just came on to suggest Wonderbra too.

AmberGreyson · 29/08/2016 08:58

no strapless bra can care huge boobs

BigGreenOlives · 29/08/2016 08:59

Wacoal make one

SlinkyB · 29/08/2016 09:03

In a 34F and for my wedding I got a lovely multiway bra from M&S (champagne gold coloured with lace). It was quite expensive but that was four years ago and I still wear it now and again now.

It has a strip of that sticky tape stuff around the band which helps it stay in place.

Swordofthespirit · 29/08/2016 09:05

No I haven't tried the Wonderbra, noting it down. I'm reading all suggestions thanks.

Try Bravissimo - am a 34H and have a fab strapless bra from there - bought it a couple of years ago

  • have worn it a fair bit and it still gives a decent shape.
MrsNuckyThompson · 29/08/2016 09:06

I decided long ago that I couldn't really wear stuff that needed a strapless bra anymore. Even the ones that fit are sooo uncomfortable and I end up feel self conscious about droop. I'm 34H

marriednotdead · 29/08/2016 09:18

There's a few out there in your size but the best one for you will depend on your shape.

Freya Deco, Panache Evie and Curvy Kate Luxe would be a good start. I've listed them in 'size order'- if the Deco fits in F you could potentially need a cup bigger for the Evie and another cup up for the Luxe!

Wolpertinger · 29/08/2016 09:19

There isn't one. and if WatchingFromtheWings had a bra intervention she wouldn't be a 38C Grin

I had a lovely strapless bra from Rigby and Peller for my wedding and that plus being dragged by the dress did its best - I'm 36H- but really they need to be sooo tight round the chest to give you any support you are uncomfortable all day and you are forever sloping off to hoike them up again.

Like MrsNucky I just gave up on stuff that needs strapless bras a long long time ago.

TheGruffaloMother · 29/08/2016 09:20

I'm amazed there are any suggestions at all! I'm a 38J and any strapless bras I've tried that stay in place end up folding over on themselves because of the weight of my boobs.

BigGreenOlives · 29/08/2016 11:21

The Wacoal really does work - I'm a 32F/30FF. It is not moulded and has a sticky strip at the top. The fabric is stretchy lace. I only have it in beige but I think it's also available in black. There is a lot of difference in breast volume between a 34H/36H and a 32F - 32F fits size 10 clothing.

KatharinaRosalie · 29/08/2016 11:22

32F is not particularly huge, and the Wonderbra Ultimate will work very nicely, it does not droop. Note though that it's very tight in the back, many people need to go up a back size.

Nottsangel2015 · 29/08/2016 11:29

36j here and I struggle. I have yet to find one! I now only wear strapless stuff for minimal periods like on holidays or nights out and just put up with pulling up and adjusting the cups for a few hours. Could never wear one all day which is a shame as love boob tubes and can only wear them on holiday with a bikini under!

To be honest though I would just love to be able to buy a pretty bra in my size without paying £20+! Envy those who can buy sets from primark for a fiver!!!

I tend to buy my bras from debenhams in the sale as they do fit quite well except for their strapless bra!

Place making If anyone finds one I haven't tried x

Swordofthespirit · 29/08/2016 13:00

Thanks for all these wonderful suggestions. I wear size 10/12 in clothes so hoped there would be something that would do the job. I don't wear strapless things often but Sometimes find a lovely dress, with tiny strappy things etc, I hate nude straps so need a strapless bra or two WinkI'll check out the Wonderbra Ultmate.

its a pain not being able to find even a normal bra in F cup size in M and S of all places! I thought women's lingerie was their reason for being. Debenhams have some but they give me a terrible shape (I bought 4 recently) money down the drain.

The Wonderbra Ultimate is amazing (DD /E cup here). I bought one when I had to wear a strapless BM dress for a wedding which I was not happy about! It really hoists everything up as it has a lot of support under the cups.

The2Ateam · 29/08/2016 13:34

Defo the wonder bra hands one!! When I look at photos of myself wearing strapless bras before finding that one, I cringe! It's fab for us boobies.

aniceearlynight · 29/08/2016 13:37

I'm a 30FF/size 8 and have never found one that works. They always make me look so saggy and low-slung and require trips to loo for emergency hoisting up sessions.

Madbengalmum · 29/08/2016 13:38

I am the same size as you Op i have tried all freya, wacoal etc, and the ONLY one to buy is wonderbra. Dont waste your money on the others, it is brilliant. I never wore anything that required strapless bras before as they were so rubbish, but this is great.

Swordofthespirit · 29/08/2016 13:53

Yep,another vote for Wonderbra!

marriednotdead · 29/08/2016 19:03

Nottsangel the Curvy Kate Luxe goes up to a 38J and works really well even in the bigger sizes Smile

anxiousnow · 30/08/2016 00:55

I'm 30/32F and wonderbra worked brilliantly. Felt safe and in shape all day, including lots of bending over and running around with kids

Kitchenaide · 30/08/2016 23:32

Fantasies strapless smoothing work for me

BrillianaHarvey · 30/08/2016 23:36

32G here and another vote for the Wonderbra - but bloody hell it's uncomfortable.
