Denim mini skirt for DD....where to look?

My DD (14yo, 5'6" and a size 8) has decided she wants a denim mini.
Easy enough, you say. With that height and figure, clothes should just throw themselves off the shelves , yes?

It must be:
zip front not buttoned
neat hem not this tatty frayed crap or rips
no embroidery or daft patches

Today we looked:
TopShop, New Look, Miss Selfridge, River Island, H&M

She won't look at M&S or Next (they are My Shops so not for her) or Matalan.

I've looked online there but not seen anything.

What she wanted was a Moto mini from Topshop but she wants to try on instore, and its only online in a 16.
She got a Primark mini but it's button front and the denim ones in there were long pencil skirts.

HELP . Looking about £30-£40 ish
Where am I missing. There are shops I haven't even considered I'm sure.

I got one like that from boohoo.com. Do you mean a zip right down the front? If so there were a few on boohoo. But was a few months back now.

Try Zara their biggest kids size would possibly fit her and o know they have plain denim skirt in their, I bought o e for dd last week!

I actually found mine in Sainsburys after looking literally for a year (I wore my old one so much I wore s hold in the bum). It was at the beginning of the summer so they might not have them any more. I'm sure Tesco recently had them too. Sorry that's not a very trendy selection!

Zara would be worth a look (might brave London if the trains are running)
I showed her the Matalan ones but she wants a more 'jeans' type with the pockets and a 'fly zip'

Levis still have shops, they don't actually stock many skirts.

The matalan one someone linked seems to tick all the boxes

If you go to London, go to Monki in Carnaby street. My DD 16 got a lovely black suede mini with zip up front from there. Also look in Brandy Melville (just off Carnaby st) or also now a branch in Covent Garden.

Cheap as chips but not sure if the age 14 will be big enough

She has spied an Urban Outfitter skirt that passes muster, so I will be well Out Of My Comfort Zone in a trendy shop where the music will be loud .

The Zara one would fit her waist but too short for her height

Mango looks good.The colour of denim is flexible, the fasten and finish is what she's set on.
There are shops I never venture into, so I have no idea what is out there.

Urban Outfitters

After traipsing along Oxford Street in'n'out of TopShop/H&M/Forever 21/Miss Selfridges we went into Urban Outfitters and she saw the one she'd been looking for online.

£36, one happy DD, I'm resting my old bones now.

It is definately a shop I'd never have gone into though.
