How can I even out/fade a tan

I'm wearing a strappy dress to a black tie gala event in 6 weeks time.

I currently have very distinct tan lines on my shoulders and neckline where I've been wearing sleeveless tops all summer.

What can I do to make it less noticeable? I realise it will fade over time, but I'm guessing exfoliation will help even it out too? Is there anything I can use to lighten it? Lemon juice? - or is that just on hair?

6 weeks is a long time in tan land. you may not have a problem by then.

But if you do - exfoliiation won't help for a real tan nor will lemon juice.
You either need to fake tan in the white bits - go to a pro spray artist for precision blending/aplication - or makeup over the the white bits OR get a different dress. Different dress obv. best option.
