Looking for sweatshirts and a dress

It's my birthday soon so I'm looking for ideas and I'm a bit rubbish. Im looking for sweaters. I love the shape and style of the "mother" ones but that just seems a random thing to have written across my chest? I tried a Boden one but don't love the shape. Any ideas?
I'm also looking for a dress for a ball. I love the see through type with crystals or sequins. Would like above the knees and long sleeves. Any ideas? Have attempted to add a picture of a dress in the style I like but that one is perhaps a bit more see through than I'd like. Thanks

That does not look like a "dress for a ball" to me. Nightclub, maybe, but not right for a 'ball'.
