impossible quest?

I'm looking for work trousers. basically live in jeans atm because they fit and I can just grab one off the shelf and they fit (gap real straight)

they need to be

  • black or dark grey/brown
  • jeans size 32/32 (size 14?)
  • nice feeling, non plasticky fabric
  • not see through!
  • with pockets
  • not too stretchy
  • not too long in the leg (can't wear heels and cba to get them shortened)
  • preferably under 50£

would m&s, sainsb be worth a try?

trird the zara chinos now.
almost what I'm looking for. good length and nice fabric.
they just didn't have xl in store and l was a little tight on my bottom.

Thirding or fourthing Gap. I am also chunky of thigh, I prefer these slim cropped. But buy'em tight, they do grow a bit over the day. Bi-stretch are good too tho.

hmph
gap ankle pants are, erm pants :o

they are too short for me, almost like my hated 3/4 trousers *and they made my arse look enormous.

I can't get my "atheletic" calf muscles into any skinny/slim trousers from Gap. I have trouble in general, but Gap are particularly bad.

PitchFork · 26/08/2016 13:10

the gap real straight jeans fit me really well. I wish they had a pair exactly like that in trouser fabric.

Curse you OpenMe. Thanks to you I've just spent £110 in gap, including 2 pairs of those blardy trousers.

PitchFork · 27/08/2016 12:25

I struck silver at next.
a pair of boot cut and a pair of straight cut trousers.
not gold because the fabric is viscose/polyester. but at least they fit and suit my shape.

Tried these today and really liked the fit but didn't buy because I wasn't sure about the print. Are the polka dots a bit much, or okay for fairly formal work environment? I also liked the burgundy but was too hot to try anything else on!

op here

am actually not too happy with the next trousers, they have gone baggy at bum and knees after a few weeks of regularly wearing them.

so the quest is on again...
