Tweed jacket, maybe or Marple

Finding myself drawn to tweed jackets for the Autumn. Next has some decent ones as do Ness. In my head they'll be a nice weekend look with skinny jeans and ankle boots or smart enough for work with a Hush rushed skirt (secondary teacher) . 5,7 14 bottom, 16 top. 42 but told I look younger.

I envy DH every time he through a his on and looks like a handsome uni lecturer but worry that I'll look even more mature and frumpy.

Your thoughts and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Pattie is right you won't look frumpy in this Oh boy is it ££s but so lovely.
If you get tweed, get good tweed, try looking at some country/horsey shops, hacking jackets are good. Mine lasted 30 years

I am a university lecturer and I buy my compulsory wear for lecturers tweed jackets from Joules. My favourite one has elbow patches

I am a very similar size to you OP and I think if you are wearing with skinnies and boots they won't look too Marple.

Love the Joules ones. Have 3 different colour combos. Wait for the sales though!

That Walker Slater one is stunning shall drop hints for xmas. I can see myself in most of jackets linked too. Just needed a bit of reassurance that it won't age me.

I have that Walker Slater one but in blue. It is gorgeous. I wear it with skinny jeans and long or ankle boots but this year will be wearing it with looser girlfriend jeans too.

What is the sizing like? I am a size 12 but large if chest.
