Keep seeing women (of all ages) wearing sleeveless blouses (the ones that button up to the neck). They don't flatter anyone - I've only just noticed how many people wear these. Funnily enough I've not noticed them in the shops so wondering why they are 'a thing' well fitted vest much more flattering imho
Am I the only one?!

They flatter me, and are much more work appropriate than a vest. I don't really suit vests, being broad shouldered and modest of boob.

NatalieRushman · 19/08/2016 17:42

I hate vests. I look much better in sleeveless shirts.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/08/2016 18:02

I actually saw something i really hate. Sleeves with a a hole in them at the shoulder. Do they flatter anyone? Ive seen them in shops and honestly thought what is the point of them. Saw someone wearing it and it did not look good. Imo i think they look horrible. Or am i the only one?

Dozer · 19/08/2016 18:03

I dislike them too. There are loads in the shops though. And vests are not traditional workwear.

OpenMe · 19/08/2016 18:05

Vests are for sport imo and common in any other situation.Grin A proper top is much nicer on anyone

neveradullmoment99 · 19/08/2016 18:07

Not sure i described that very well. They have slashed sleeves. euggh.

MarksandSpencerfoodjunkie · 19/08/2016 18:40

The tops with holes never those are awful too.

Personally I think vests are best kept as undergarments or wearing in the back garden, I look nice in my sleeveless blouses thanks very much !

shakerkitchenunits · 19/08/2016 18:47

like this sort of thing www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01E072V5K/ref=asc_df_B01E072V5K35844297?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=fashiolacouk-21&linkCode=df0&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B01E072V5K&ascsubtag=3de7D
whaaat? what is wrong with that? skims all stomach lumps and bumps.

shakerkitchenunits · 19/08/2016 18:49

oh right, cold shoulder sleeve shirts. im with you, dont generally like.

DelicatePreciousThing1 · 19/08/2016 19:26

Cold shoulder!!? Hahahaha
Vile garments.

29redshoes · 19/08/2016 19:53

I think hardly anyone looks good in a vest!

MarksandSpencerfoodjunkie · 20/08/2016 19:41

Good vests - worn with cardigan (fitted) or jacket imho is much classier and flattering than their sleeveless shirts - although the ones I've seen and are my particular bugbear have prints. That one actually looks good shaker so may have to reasses. Cap t-shirt another better option.

I can't wear sleeveless shirts as I've got broad swimmers shoulders. They look lovely on other folk, though.

My summer bugbear is bras with backless tops and dresses. There are alternative solutions than those vile plastic transparent things women use. I'm absolutely unreasonable, but I just don't like them at all.

Kirriemuir · 20/08/2016 20:57

I think any sleeveless top or shirt or blouse looks hideous. They just don't flatter upper arms.

Runningupthathill82 · 20/08/2016 21:29

A vest and cardigan?! Erm, no thanks. I suit my sleeveless blouses. Great for work during the summer, plus my arms are pretty good so I think they do look ok.

NicknameUsed · 20/08/2016 21:43

I like sleeveless blouses. The high neck suits me as I am not very curvy. Sorry YABU.

ephemeralfairy · 20/08/2016 22:14

They don't look great done up to the neck, I'm with you there OP. No one suits that apart from gamine Hepburn-esque blogger types.

A few buttons undone is much more chic in my opinion.
