I've been using a pumice on my hooves; which is the best labour-saving device for this job?

I just use a bic razor. Like an earlier poster said , you see pedicurists using a similar gadget and it works really well for me .

I've just ordered a Scholl Velvet Smooth which looks like a battery powered pumice roller thing. Great reviews. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it yet.

FoodPorn I mentioned the Scholl thingy yesterday but I have the Micro Pedi.

Ooooh yea Lottielou7 the soap and glory file is wicked!
And I've got a corn and callous knife and it's great...although I always get carried away and take too much off and make them bleed Shock I've tried every file going, ped-egg and that electric one, which didn't have enough power, first sign of pressure and it stops (DP said I'd be better off with an angle grinder Blush)
I'd definitely suggest the knife to take a bit off, then the soap and glory file!

FoodPorn that's what I meant in my last post...on my feet it was useless, but if you don't have hard skin as bad as mine it might be pretty good lol Grin

Definitely the Scholl velvet smooth, I bought it on a groupon.
It's a bit addictive?

Hmm. I've literally tried everything. The best undoubtedly has been the soap and glory foot file - it's amazing, beats all the battery cons.

I use a corn and callous knife, but agree with all the warnings up thread about being careful not to butcher your feet. I've cut myself in the past by being over-enthusiastic with it. I swear I'm an inch shorter by the time I've got rid of all the dead skin under the balls of my feet.

In between slicing the dead skin off, I use a Diamencel #11 foot file. They're expensive (real diamond bits, doncha know) but have a lifetime guarantee. The dead skin flies off in clouds; it's very satisfying and ever so slightly sporny.

My podiatrist said use only a foot file and flexitol to me.

I've just bought the Body Shop file, it's cheap and gets really good reviews.

I've tried lots of things and the best I've found is Newton's Chiropody foam followed by Flexitol heel balm - amazing combo!!!
Footner was a strange but not long lasting treatment for me!
