Laboutain

My daughter has bought a pair of Laboutain with money she had for her 18th birthday. She is very excited and wants to keep the sole red and not scuffed. I've heard you can have something done to protect them. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how effective it is?

She needs to bring them to a cobbler and get them to do it.

I think the idea with Louboutin, is that the red is meant to wear off a bit.

Some people recommend iPad screen protectors cut down to size.

I know, but she is more in love with these shoes than any living thing!!

There is a specialist cobbler in London, who is approved by Christian Loboutin, who do an 'official' resoling with a protective red rubber layer. It's called Minuit Moins Sept. I'd imagine that it would be on the pricey side, but at least she would know that they won't mess up her pride and joy!

Louboutin, sorry.

Mine are all scuffed on the bottom from when I wore them outside for all of ten minutes Angry! I now just keep them for wearing indoors in hotels and nothing else!! I think they are meant to get worn off though, the soles are leather so it's bound to happen. You can get the soles replaced but I have no idea how much it costs!

They are definitely shoes for wearing on carpets. Although you can cover sole scuffs with red nail varnish if you care about keeping the soles pristine!

You can get red Vibram soles put on, there is a cobbler near Vauxhall station in London who does them.

Great service and they have saved many of my shoes (though sadly I have no Loubs)

I used Minuit Moins Sept for mine and really recommend them.
