Is there any point buying summer clothes now?

I've got about £200 to spend should I buy summer clothes or shall I start buying some Autumn/winter clothes?
What's in fashion at the minute?

Unless we have an Indian summer, there is about three weeks of warmth left.

Have you got a suitable coat for Autumn? I would wait a couple of weeks until it is just Autumn stuff in the shops.

No, unless you buy things that can work into autumn. I'd hang on to your cash until all the new stock comes in.

I've just bought some sandals.....for next year.

I've been buying stuff for next summer as prices could go up quite a bit on clothing over the next 12 months from what I've been reading. A lot of summer sale bargains around recently and I have taken advantage Grin

Agree if you need something specific though e.g. winter coat, boots is probably a good thing to wait for the new stock coming in...

After the total bollocksness of what has been laughingly called summer this year, I'm not sure I shall buy 'summer' clothes ever again.

I know we've had a rubbish summer haven't we.
Well I'm in Newcastle and ours has been atrocious.
I'm thinking maybe some nice ankle boots and a couple of nice jumpers.
I could do with some basics as well.

It's been a decent summer down here, and I reckon we've still got a couple of months left of it. I'm only buying odd bits in the sales though, not spending proper money at this stage. I'm trying to enjoy the sunshine instead of wishing the time away and getting sucked into new season stuff!

I find it so difficult when I go in a shop not to buy next season when I see something I like..although I bet I sharp change my mind in November when it's freezing cold.
