What size bra in relation to clothes size?

Just that really. I'm a size 32f , have a 27 inch waist and a clothes size 10 usually.
But I have a friend who is a size 14 and a size 32f.
I have tried a 30ff, but the band feels very, very uncomfortable and leaves red marks on my skin.
I'm just wondering about everyone else.
Ive done the bra intervention and have been measuring almost every day just to re-check. I'm 31 inches around my ribcage and 39 inches around my boobs bending over, 38 standing up

Size 14 (I wear a 16 because of my boobs but waist fits a 14!)
34K. I do have some 32 backs, depends on the bra

It doesn't have much bearing - people are different shapes and carry weight in different ways. I wore a 32 when I was a size 10, now wear a 34 at size 14. I know people in the 12-14 size range who are slimmer than I am and wear anything from a 28 to a 32. Wear what fits and is comfortable.

On another note, I found the 30 band bras fit my frame a lot better than the 32 but were just too tight. Use them with bra extenders. They will loosen up a bit over time.

I'm a size 8 and wear a 34A bra - anything tighter is uncomfortable. I think the chest size is probably more down to size of ribcage than amount of fat.

Do your measurement as per the Boob Or Bust calculator. You might be surprised.

of course people have different rib cages as well, and it's often the case that if you have a bit more fat around the ribs, a band smaller than you measure will give better support, but if you don't have padding, you might need to go size up. In my case I need 30 when I'm size 10, 32 for size 12.

It doesn't have a clear relationship, I'm a 30/32 HH/J and normally a 16.

That said, often if someone says they're say a size 6 and wearing a 34 it's generally an indication that they are in the wrong bra size as most people have an underbust measurement which is within 3" of their waist and a size 6 waist is not 30+ inches. It doesn't work so well the other way e.g. a 16 wearing a 30 band isn't necessarily wrong because dress size is dictated by the largest measurement

I'm a size 12 and need a 32d or 32dd. I recently measured myself using the bra intervention and was quite surprised as my boobs are quite small. I think it depends on your ribcage as to band size.

Cup size is proportionate to band size - roughly speaking as you go up a band you go down a cup to maintain the same volume of breast tissue which the cup will hold, so a 32DD, 34D, 36C, 38B, 40A should all hold about the same quantity of tit, just in a different shape.

30ff, (30/39) 30 inch waist, size 12....I go straight up and down!

I think it's more to do with waist and hips, not just bust size (in terms of dress size.)
I'm a 30D or 30DD or 32D in most bras and buy an 8 or 10. I need a 10 in trousers for the waist (28) but in dresses an 8 usually fits.
