What's good at NYX?

It's just appeared at the local Priceline. Is there anything that's a absolute winner?

I grabbed the gel eye liner stick and I'm tentatively impressed as I needed a non smudgy one. So far so good.

I love the Soft Matte Lip Creams and the very fine eyebrow pencil. I think it's called the Micro Brow or something? Better than the Anastasia Brow Wiz in my opinion.

I got a red coloured Full Throttle lipstick last week and it felt like I was wearing nothing on my lips and stayed put through a KFC that I shouldn't have been eating.

I like the butter glosses too but don't rate the stay matte fix spray that bloggers rave about.

This looks such a good line!
I have bought a foundation stick for my holidays and the lippies are wonderful.

the make-up setting spray - brilliant stuff.

JellyBea · 12/08/2016 19:13

I second the setting spray! Also they do a waterproof eyeshadow primer which is really incredible. I used it under my eye makeup for a wedding recently and my eyeshadow didn't budge the whole day (and it was very hot and sweaty). It usually creases and disappears within an hour.

Also their Lip Lingerie liquid lipsticks are brilliant. They are matte but you can't even feel them on your lips. Usually I can't wear matte lipsticks as they are too drying and feel awful to wear but these are a game changer. Wonderful at £6.50 a pop!

Used to use their blushes and loved them, v cheap too.

poppym12 · 12/08/2016 23:28

The butter lipsticks are lovely, as are the slide and glide pencils. I like some of the individual eyeshadows too (skinny dip is my favourite). Big shout out for the eyeprow pencil thing too. Finally something that works for me in a shade that matches my eyebrows. Taupe eyebrows apparently Hmm

I like nyx and have also just placed a big order with kiko milano. 10% off your first order and currently doing free express delivery (not uk based). They have a sale on at the moment and have found some good bargains. All I wanted was a matte cream eyeshadow Blush

Nettletheelf · 13/08/2016 01:14

Their loose powder is the biz.

Thank you all so much. Looking forward to going again and having a good look!

For the people who recommend the setting spray, do you mean the matte one or dewy finish? I don't wear foundation, just bb cream, but would like it to stay looking good for a bit longer than it does.

SlinkyVagabond · 13/08/2016 09:52

The concealer with an orange tone in a pot. My shadows vanish without heaviness.

ihatethecold · 13/08/2016 10:02

I really rate Nyx make up.
Whenever me and DD go to London we always pop into Selfridges to go to the Nyx counter.
I have repeat bought the eyebrow pencils.

MUjunkie · 13/08/2016 10:11

Brow pomade is great! The eyeshadow blends really well and lasts all day and I love the eyeliners with the sparkle in them

JellyBea · 13/08/2016 10:14

Poppy I've got the matte one as the reviews on the Boots website for the dewy one weren't as good. I generally use a small amount of matte powder to set my bb cream anyway so it made sense to get the matte spray.

poppym12 · 13/08/2016 11:07

Thanks jelly. I thought matte would be better with bb cream but as I'm old, I didn't want to look even older with a matte face Grin
