Lovely if you have the legs for it, it's quite short. Love the colours.

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 16:53

Thanks. It is a bit on the short side isn't it?

I do really like the colours/style, I'm just wondering if I'd be brave enough to wear it!

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 16:58

Do you think it would work with sandals/ballet pumps?

OP posts:
DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 18:20

Impulse bought!

It can go back if it looks crap on me.

The stripes not lining up through the side seam make it look very cheap - which it is. If you're not bothered about that, it's good.

Choceeclair123 · 11/08/2016 18:36

What's going on with the stripes? Not lining up at all.

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 18:38

who knows?

If it looks crap it's going back.

Do you think it needs heels or would flats work?

OP posts:
happypoobum · 11/08/2016 18:40

Agree with PP it looks a bit cheap to me, and the 100% polyester would put me off.

However, if you have the legs and upper arms for it, and don't have big boobs I think it would look nice. I like that style, just think this isn't a stunning example of it IYSWIM?

burnishedsilver · 11/08/2016 19:01

Its nice. I'd prefer if it wasn't 100% polyester.

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 19:50

I have small bobbing and tonedish arms so we shall see.

A lot of Oasis dresses seem to be polyester unfortunately.

Still it was cheapish so no great shakes.

I may post a pic of me in it when it arrives if I'm feeling brave Grin

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 19:50

for 'bobbing' read 'boobidge'..bloody autocorrect!

elephantoverthehill · 11/08/2016 19:53

I'm the stripes not lining up camp. Sorry.

TerrificHons · 11/08/2016 19:56

Mmmm, agree about the stripes not adding up. Cheapen it completely

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 20:25

Yeah I can see what you are all saying, I think that's why I umm'd and ahh'd about it for so long.

OP posts:
Lweji · 11/08/2016 20:25

The strips seem to give an optical effect. It may work on those trying to look with smaller hips.

Lweji · 11/08/2016 20:26

or stripes...

HairySubject · 11/08/2016 20:29

I think the strops are intentionally not lined up but yes that would bug me.

DavetheCat2001 · 11/08/2016 20:36

They seem to line up on the front and back panels, but not the sides..

OP posts:
puglife15 · 11/08/2016 20:47

The stripes are purposefully off-set I think.

I'm not a fan but I think mainly because it would look awful on my figure and colouring!

Post a pic OP!

DavetheCat2001 · 17/08/2016 21:08

what do you think? Hmm

What do you think of this dress?
OP posts:
happypoobum · 17/08/2016 21:23

It looks a bit big on you.

DavetheCat2001 · 17/08/2016 21:35

I thought that, but think the smaller size would be too small.

OH thinks it looks really nice, and he is brutally honest when he hates something.

Jury's out I think. I've just flown in from Germany and am shattered so think I'll try it on again tomorrow.

OP posts:
Glittermud · 17/08/2016 21:36

I think that it looks fresh and elegant on you.

Fivetoomany · 17/08/2016 21:36

You look lovely!Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 17/08/2016 21:42

Didnt really like it on the model. Too short and tight and disliked the stripes but it looks great on you :)
