I'm going to a summer wedding in two weeks and just hit the jackpot by finding a dress I like, in my size IN THE SALE. Please help me accessorize it to make it look weddingy as I'm thinking it could be too casual if I'm not careful about accessories! Hope that makes sense!

Here it is

That's lovely, and what a bargain Smile
It's quite a busy pattern so don't go overboard.

Maybe pick out one colour, like the turqoise/blue. Then buy pretty shoes and a bag in that colour.

Thank you! Yes I was thinking a simple wrap/shawl and wedge heels maybe. Do you think navy is too dull?

That is a bargain, I'd wear it with navy for work so would be tempted to go turquoise to make it more 'celebratory'

RoseBud2016 · 11/08/2016 16:23

I would find some shoes that are the same colour as the brighter blue colour in the dress to make it stand out a bit more, and a bag to match. I think navy would be too plain personally.
Then maybe just a small clip/accessory for your hair. Something that contrasts with your hair colour.

I wouldn't bother with a shawl if the wedding is in 2 weeks and it's in the UK- it will still be warm and at most weddings you are only outside for 2 hours or so.

Have fun shopping!

That sounds lovely, I love turquoise. Do you suppose I can squeeze some gold in...as in necklace etc?

Thank you Rosebud! Yes beginning to veer towards the brighter blue - I'm so cautious as I want look smart but not boring if that makes sense!

Lots of turquoise/gold jewellery out there, hang on a mo...

Red nails, red lips big navy hat (not too many twiddly bits on it) - beautiful!

hellswelshy · 11/08/2016 16:58

Nice! So would it be a bit much (sounded like my mum then!) To go for gold necklace and gold wedge sandals?! And blue/turquoise bag and wrap?

Ooh fauxfox now you've thrown me! Grin

Pretty! I like the shoes they've styled it with. Otherwise I'd go for tan heeled sandals (quite 70s-esque) and a chunky wooden or resin bangle.

hellswelshy · 11/08/2016 18:39

Thank you Remus! Definitely chunky heel or wedge, I'm not petite enough for s delicate shoe Grin Hadn't considered tan...
