Is it worth spending more on a swimsuit

I mean, is the material better? Do they look better? I'm looking for a one piece. I'm a 10-12 but not toned so don't feel particularly comfortable in a bikini. The swimsuits I've found online that I REALLY like are Mara Hoffman, but they're expensive-even in the sale. Is it worth spending more are are high street brands just as good?

I don't know about quality to be honest, but I am a firm believer that it is worth buying swimwear you feel good in, so if you feel good in it I think it's worth the investment.

It's been in the pool 4 or 5 times a week the last couple of months and is still absolutely fine.

Try ASOS for fashion swimwear.

I swim in a pool loads so buy chlorine resistant sports swimwear (speedo type swimsuits) its nowhere near as expensive as fashion swimwear and does what its supposed to do without all that expense.

I meant to add that I am looking for something that I feel great in. The utility of the item is less important (for once).

After 3 kids I do not wear a bikini. I also have one swimsuit and spent more than I would like to admit on it. I have two DDs now and want them to see me, their mother, confident in my own skin. If wearing an expensive swimsuit makes you feel more confident in public, I think, finances permitting, you should purchase it. I used to be the one buying cheap swimsuits from target (live in the US) but they always look awful on me. Now I go to a shop called Everything But Water (they are here in the US and excellent so check if they have them in the UK) and spend a lot more.

The ones I've bought from m&s have been brilliant quality, I'm on to my 3rd year with them with no loose/see- through material as yet.

Take a look at Gottex. I found them to be very flattering and $100-150 at full price.

Zoggs have attractive practical swimsuits. Cost around £35 I recall.

Yes it is totally worth it, Melissa odabach are lovely. ( I have two)
Sexy swimwear that isn't a bikini.
I got one from brand alley or someone like that reduced to £95 from £200 or something.

The cut is better the quality better and I feel good. When you are wearing a swimming costume you deserve to look and feel good.

So went and took a look at my swimsuits. One is by Trina turk and the other by Rebecca Virtue. Both are colour wise similar to what you have posted. They are very flattering and I love that I don't fall out of them.

If you really like it and can afford it then buy it, if you feel good in it you will look good in it

The outnet, not brand alley just checked and they still have lots of lovely suits.

Seafolly are good too. They wash really well.

Fig leaves is brilliant online. Order several across the price ranges and see which suit you. I have bought £120 and £20 cozzies from there. Is all about the cut and style. Free delivery and returns. miracle suit is just that but the one I like is not made anymore.

I love the fit of Victoria Secret swimwear. Have more than 10 bikinis/suits from them and although each is s different style, the cut on the bottoms is fab!

Got two Heidi Klein bikinis and one Heidi Klein swimsuit.... Ridiculously expensive but I feel loads more confident in them. They are more flattering (on me). (Three kids too....)
