Cardigans, v neck or round neck and buttoned or not?

I have always thought of cardigans to be a bit old fashioned but have recently realised that they are quite popular. I am 63 so still think twinset etc.

What is best to wear over longline vest and skinny jeans/jeggings. V neck or round neck and how many buttons to do up/undo?

I am a wobbly size 14 on bottom and 12 on top and need to cover arms but waist is best part.

Any thoughts ladies?

I prefer a cropped crew neck with one or two buttons done up under the boobs - that seems to suit my figure best - big boobs, flattish tummy

I have been looking for cropped cardigan but with at least three quarter length or full sleeves but a lot of them seem to be shortish sleeves. I don't want to look as if I am trying to cover anything up (even though I am)

Hobbs do lovely silk-mix round neck cardigans :

I wear them buttoned half way up; sleeves are perfect 3/4 length.

M & S do a large range in all sorts of colours. I've got 6!
