How long have ankle boots got?

I don't have any. I'm not sure how to wear them but have seen a lot worn with various outfits from skinniest to skirts. I remember tucker boots hence my fear of returning to the 80s and also needing to know if I'm too late to the ankle boot party

Or should that be Tukka?

I'm not sure that ankle boots have ever been out of fashion, nor ever will. People have always worn boots so what if not ankle boots? Knee boots are nowhere near as popular as ankle boots nor ever have been surely?

I think in terms of 'trend currency' ankle boots are somewhat 'over', especially the Jimmy Choo motorcycle boots type and retailers will be pushing the old over the knees again this year, which are surprisingly not as escort like as one might think... I own two pairs Blush they're surprisingly versatile and I much prefer them to knee length boots.

Regardless, I consider ankle boots staples rather than trend items and have many pairs. I practically live in my Acne Pistols whose moment in the sunshine was years ago but that's not deterring me one bit. They're very versatile with jeans, skirts, dresses, etc. If you've got an especially nice pair (currently eyeing up some Acne Jensen's myself) they look quite good with jeans/tapered pants that stop just above them.

IMHO ankle boots and just under the knee boots are staples for the UK weather.

I'm sorry botemp but l think over the knee are dated and people just don't tend to look right in them.

If you are a short-arse like me over the knee boots cause gynaecological difficulties!

I was thinking the tendency towards ankle boots over tights and skinny jeans as opposed to knee boots which used to be the rule!
