Leather leggings - Iris and Ink

I have wanted a pair of stretch leather leggings for a lifetime, and if I get a couple of nice contracts this autumn (I'm a freelancer), I would like to take the plunge.

The ones I have my eye on are the and Ink leggings on the Outnet (I wonder if that link will work with the square brackets in the URL...).

Has anybody got these particular ones by any chance, and have any words of wisdom to share?

For size/shape reference, I would be a size 10, MAYBE and 8, I have fairly short legs/long torso and a nice bum. I would wear them with Ash trainers or slipper style shoes (I live in these), almost never with heels.

Isn't Iris and Ink theoutnet's own brand? I'm not sure what the quality is like tbh, going by those pictures the leather doesn't look to be more superior than what you'd get on the high street. I bought a fab burgundy pair from H&M a few years backs which have served me well at about a the third of the price of the I&I. If you're looking at a designer (discounted) pair with a good leather quality I'd be on the lookout for Helmut Lang or Joseph.

How tall are you OP? The thing is with leather leggings they're almost always made up of 4 panels with a seam around the knee area and IME as a not terribly tall person this can be real hit or miss when it comes to fit. You're going to have to try a few before finding a good fit so don't give up after the first try.

I love them. Think they would be great with the various shoes you describe BUT they are shocking expensive for what is essentially an own brand item of clothing. If I was paying that kind of money I would want a better name. Snobby I know!
