Leather jacket for A/W - investment piece?

I haven't owned a leather jacket for close 15 years, but I'm thinking about investing in one for Autumn and I haven't a clue where to start. I can probably spend up to £150ish and would want decent, soft leather with plainish styling.

I really like the Espirit pink biker jacket here but it is sold out now.

I'm broad shouldered at 5'3 and often have a problem with sleeves being too long. Size 10-12ish. I have very few shops nearby (rural-ish) but want something for weekends and the school run.

Where does one even look? Are their any companies with cruelty-free leather I could look at first?

I'd second the comment about the M&S pleather one - I got it last year (dark blue, classic biker style) and it is brilliant. Feels fab and was about £60 I think. Loads of people have thought it was real leather.

I have two All Saints ones and they're BRILLIANT (I also have huge shoulders and they fit fine).

Is all saints sizing big or small?

They're fairly true to size but the leather jackets are quite slim-fitting I'd say - I'm a 12 in most things but my All Saints jackets are a 14, largely to accommodate my aforementioned big shoulders. I often have to size up in fitted jackets/coats, though, and the bigger size is roomy enough for a light sweater underneath.

Yes mine is, at the time I also ordered the Whistles Payne biker in navy to compare and much preferred the Oakwood, also navy. Zalando delivery/return policy is brilliant too.
