Wedding dress code: wear what you want...

As the title suggests!! Off to a wedding that has no dress code... I'm planning on playing it safe and conventional, but am breastfeeding my 6 month old, so many dresses are out of the running. I have narrowed it down to these two options (or, just hiding begin the pram in maternity bra and granny pants). DH is bored of me popping in and out with more clothes for him to judge. So I'm hoping you can decide for me! Any thoughts gratefully received

I vote for the green with a pair of green wedges and maybe a metallic skinny belt. Has your DH keeled over with the pressure!

Mamabird3 · 05/08/2016 23:10

I think you have a fantastic figure and could wear anything! I personally like the skirt but as pp suggested with another top? Perhaps a slightly more fitted wrap style top so you can still breast feed?

fandabbydozier · 05/08/2016 23:11

I love the green dress. Where's it from?

Kr1stina · 05/08/2016 23:11

I vote for the green dress

Nettletheelf · 06/08/2016 07:18

I prefer the skirt and top. Looks more fashionable than the dress, although both are nice.

GinIsIn · 06/08/2016 07:27

The skirt is lovely. The green dress, if I am honest, looks a bit like it's been washed too many times. Have fun!

hollieberrie · 06/08/2016 07:43

You look absolutely beautiful in both. I have ankle envy - so dainty! I think the skirt and top is more on trend - so I'd wear that if it's a fashionista young person type wedding but the dress if it's Great Aunt Daisy's third marriage type wedding.
Have fun.

You look lovely in both. I prefer the skirt personally, and I like it with the top you have on - I wear a similar outfit myself and feel amazing in it. Maybe with a long necklace?

Trills · 06/08/2016 10:28

Oh the BASTARDS.

Why would they do that to you?

Trills · 06/08/2016 10:30

The green dress is better IMO.

pizzapops · 06/08/2016 10:31

I think the green dress looks beautiful on you. I'd also pair it will wedges and a nice necklace.

cathyandclaire · 06/08/2016 10:34

I like the skirt and top- but both look lovely

midnightlurker · 06/08/2016 10:39

Green dress.

JC23 · 06/08/2016 10:42

The skirt looks lovely

Ohchristmastreeohchristmastree · 06/08/2016 14:04

Either - they both look great on you. I have a similar frame to you and wear similar to the first one and don't think it needs to be tighter at all. It still shows off your figure without being to try hard.
Have fun!

AnotherTimeMaybe · 06/08/2016 14:09

Dress looks dated sorry
Skirt much better! But you have a fab figure and you can do much better than both these!

Nan0second · 06/08/2016 14:12

I'm voting for dress. It's really flattering on you!

polyhymnia · 06/08/2016 14:15

Dress good but more conventionally weddingy. As you have more freedom to choose than usual, perhaps the rather trendier skirt combo.

Ihatechoosingnames · 06/08/2016 14:19

Skirt! Both look good on you as you have an amazing figure but not keen on the dress

ShellSuitonBonfireNight · 06/08/2016 14:21

Skirt and top. Defo.

Kr1stina · 06/08/2016 23:18

I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to hear of a wedding invitation that treats guests as guests. And not as unpaid extras in the " bride and groom show " .

I hope the couple have a lovely day and long and happy marriage .
