Grease lightning inspired outfit!

Got a party coming up and I've just found out the dress code is grease lightning! I'm in desperate need of some help putting the outfit together. I'm leaning more towards trousers/skirt and a top rather than a dress but pretty open to suggestions, not a massive budget as it's unlikely I'll wear it again. I'm size 8-10, fairly hourglass, about 5ft5 and will probably wear heels. Any links to specific items are most welcome as I've looked on lindybop and just don't know where to start!

Go as the car!! Make it out of cardboard!! I went to a famous couples party recently as Toy Story 3 Barbie (DP was Ken). I love making costumes!!!

Should've probably said before that I have about 2 weeks to get my outfit together and I've just come out of hospital so I'm pretty stuck to online shopping. I need to look good with as little effort as possible!

Aw naw! If you were the n Scotland is have made it for you! I made aeroplanes to wear last year. (Was Australia themed) so we went as the flying doctors... God I love cardboard!!

Ahh the dress has gone out of stock in a 10! Going to order an 8 and a 12 and hope one of them fits!

I don't know why that posted twice! First one is a def yes, second more like pp said kinda sandra Dee. Shoes should prob be high heeled court style and bad in the same colour, don't think the bag will matter too much, eBay is your pal here

I quite fancied buying this till my husband said he thought it was a bit sandy from grease but in this instance that might be a good thing

Casmama I think that is gorgeous and not too Sandy at all, it's a style that's "in". I would love to buy it but I look like a baked potato in jump suits.. 5ft 2"
