Help! Need moisturiser for dry perimenopausal skin with seb deem

Can any fellow seb derm sufferers help? I have never really needed to use a moisturiser but all of a sudden my skin is very dry and I want to use something. However the one I used has totally made the seb derm bits worseBlushConfused I am not sure if it was the essential oils in it or just oils but it really hasn't helped. Any suggestions? I used to prefer green ish type products but from what I can read I perhaps need an oil free moisturiser and that sometimes natural products aren't always the best for seb derm??

Thanks!

I use aveeno cream.

Thanks, which one is it? Is it for facial skin or a general lotion? Aveeno was one that I wondered about x

I just started using irritable skin balm by a brand called moogoo. I have Seb derm and this is brilliant. I'm not sure how moisturising it is though. It's a thick cream that sinks in very well but I have slightly oily skin and it doesn't make me too greasy.

Granny had this: zinc creams helped with this a lot as it helped keep the yeast under control that caused the Seb derm. I cannot recommend one as I don't remember which one.
And washing body and everywhere with ketoaconazole soaps and shampooseant it was much more under control but I guess you already know that!

I use bio oil at night made a real difference and Nivea in the morning

Thanks! I got the Aveeno one this evening. It feels like a great cream so far.

I love the moo goo creams too and find all their products really helpful but didn't find them moisturising enough for the rest of my face. I will use the irritable balm cream alongside the Aveeno which hopefully won't cause any problems to the seb derm bits.

I remember my granny using zinc oxide creams too. Sometimes, I noticed that sun tan lotion helped so maybe it was the zinc oxide in that - I will look into this

Thanks again x

That's a really good point about the sun cream - sudocrem would be a bit much!

Sudocrem is great at night, all the teens use it!
