Where to buy nice clothes for larger husband?

Help! DH and I have both gone a bit overboard with the dinners recently and his clothes aren't really fitting any more.

He's starting to deal with it so we don't want to spend a fortune, but where do you shop when XL is not quite big enough?

He loves J.Crew and Massimo Dutti but their biggest sizes are a bit too small. He's early fifties and wants to look smart but not especially trendy. Hates Next with a passion.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Jacamo

Jacamo do some really trendy clothing in larger sizes.

Not commenting on your finances, but if you use their credit option - pay off as fast as you can, I have seen some relatives spiral in to crippling debt with store cards and the like, to the point I have never had a store card.

My dh has liked the men's things from Simply Be that I have got him.

Sorry just seen the bit about trendy Blush

The clothing in Jacamo will be more than fine for 50 year old.

Money not the issue, more price per wear if you see what I mean.

What's the Jacamo quality like?

Yes, never had an issue with anything I have bought from there.

SimplyBe would also be good, as they are the exact same company as Jacamo; they run about 30 brands (I got a job with the company that runs them - JD Williams, never worked for them though as I turned it down)

Thanks, any more?

Debenhams have a Mantaray concession my husband is XXXL they always have a nice selection.

Formal, informal and casual

Very nice quality around £20-£30 per shirt but well worth it

Grassgreendashhabi · 04/08/2016 13:33

You can look online at them, plus if they have a shirt in store you like they can get them in bigger sizes.

Hufflepuffin · 04/08/2016 13:33

My DH has a couple of Jacamo shirts with a pattern, the pattern has washed away really quickly, but other stuff has been fine.

DelphiniumBlue · 05/08/2016 01:22

My DH is XXL, and he gets shirts from Debenhams and White Stuff as his first ports of call. If that fails, then possibly TKMaxx or M & S, but haven't seen anything nice in there for him this year.
My son gets clothes from Jacamo, quality and price vary, but generally you get what you pay for, and their sales are good.
George at Asda go up to 3XL, and I think Tesco does as well.

Floralnomad · 05/08/2016 01:25

Jacamo are very efficient at processing returns .

Ralph Lauren? DH wears a lot of their casual stuff; shirts, polo shirts, shorts.
JL stock it or I sometimes buy him stuff at an outlet store.
